Terms of Use
Driverbook is provided by The Taylor Portfolio (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa ("we", "us"). These terms apply to the Driverbook iPhone app. By using the app you agree to them and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
What Driverbook is
Driverbook helps you keep a record of the trips you drive and estimate what you can claim. It is a record-keeping tool, not tax, legal or financial advice. Tax rules change and depend on your circumstances; check your return with a registered tax practitioner. You are responsible for the accuracy of your logbook and anything you submit to a tax authority.
Accuracy
Automatic tracking depends on your iPhone's GPS, sensors, settings and battery, and can miss or misjudge trips. Distances for trips that weren't recorded by GPS are estimates. Review your trips and correct them before you rely on them.
Free plan and Driverbook Pro
- Free: Driverbook records every drive. You can view and classify 10 trips per calendar month; later trips are kept on your device and unlock with Pro.
- Driverbook Pro (monthly or yearly) unlocks every trip, reports, the SARS travel claim calculator and tax logbook export (PDF and Excel) for every vehicle and tax year.
- The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple.
Your data
Your trips belong to you and stay on your device. See the privacy policy. Keep backups: if your device is lost or the app is deleted, data that wasn't backed up can't be recovered.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Driverbook is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including tax penalties or lost deductions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date above. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
